JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 26- Cars
I think that the car that drives itself is not safe enough for the streets yet. I think the lab needs to PROCEED on finding different METHODS for it to be a successful project. For example, I think that it is not safe if an accident OCCURS because it will not know how to control its own speed. In addition, it is not safe for this kind of car to be driven on the freeway because traffic is more likely to OCCUR. Also, the car may not know how to relocate if it goes out of route. In conclusion, self driving cares can cause more accidents due to its response to an accident.
JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 27- Drug Sniffing Dogs
I think that school officials should not have the right to use drug sniffing dogs during school time. For example, I think that it's a bit traumatizing if a dog finds your drugs. In addition, it's pretty embrarassing to get caught in front of the whole class. Also, the dogs can ASSUME that there are drugs in your bag but there really isn't any. They RESPOND to any type of smell that they're trained to smell. Maybe if someone spills marijuana in there bag in the past and a dog comes to the class and catches her bag, she'll get searched for no reason. In conclusion, I think that the PROCESS of bringing dogs and stoping the class so the dogs can sniff around the class is a waist of class time.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 25 - Concealed Handgun
Adults should not have the right to carry a concealed handgun. Studies INDICATE that increased gun ownership leads to more gun crimes and unintended gun injuries. For example, they argue that with fewer guns on the street, society would be a safer place. In addition, some of the ESTABLISHED requirements including minimum age, no current drug convictions or commitments to a mental institution, and no prior felony convictions. This is the main argument in which opponents of concealed carry JUSTIFY their positions. Also, proponents of concealed carry say that criminals are less likely to attack someone they believe to be armed. In conclusion, those in favor of concealed carry argue that most adults who legally carry a concealed gun are law abiding citizens and do not misuse their firearms.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 24 - Online Learning
Online learning is not an effective way to educate students. For example, if there ever was a time that you needed help to clarify instructions, it would be a hassle to get ahold of your teacher or even if it was a group project it would take a lot of your time to just get ahold of your partner. In addition, online learning is just another differentiated way of learning for those that needs special education or people that live in remote areas. Also, online learning is not the best for the hands on learners.
In conclusion, people that do take online courses don't really benefit from it. People don't really learn much because everything is all done by your own knowledge.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 23 - Dog Fighting
Dog fighting should not be legal because it is a DISTINCT way of being entertained. It POTENTIALLY leads to other unlawful activities that jeopardizes the lives of the people that fights dogs. If a dog loses a fight the dog is put to sleep in many FORMULAS. For example, they're put to sleep with gruesome chemicals or medicine. People use this as a way to make money and gamble. People call this a sport but it can POTENTIALLY guide people into gangs and selling drugs.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 22
In my opinion, felons should not be aloud to vote because they were opened to a complex life and they ruined that by committing a crime. They probably wouldn't be a good source into changing our nation anyways because when they committed a crime it shows that they aren't responsible enough. Now if someone has made a big change while being in prison, they should have the right to vote because everyone has the right to vote. For the felons that haven't made a change or haven't made an effort into changing should obviously lose that right. Using them as a source into changing our nation is just a bad idea. Their mentality is probably not the best for our nation anyways.

Academic Vocabulary Paragraph Week 21
The performance enhancing drugs should not be used in sports. The side affects can be quite devastating and should be your PRIMARY concern. You'll be suffering for a good PERIOD of time that this TRADITION will soon subside. For example, if you use steroids your muscles will start to over grow, you'll start to have mood swings, and your kidneys will start to shut down. In conclusion I think that using drugs to enhance your skills in sports is just as bad as it sounds.
